Petro-SIM 7.6: Process Simulation & Digital Twin Platform

Petro-SIM 7.6 is the latest version of KBC’s process simulation software for oil refining, petrochemicals, and sustainable fuel production. Released commercially on July 3, 2025, it features FTR-SIM for SAF production, advanced polymer modeling powered by Predici, new NOMAD solver for optimization, and enhanced assay work-up tools .

FTR-SIM (Fischer-Tropsch Reactor Model) Simulates FT synthesis for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production from syngas; rigorous heat/material balances; kinetic models for Cobalt and Iron catalysts; supports integration with downstream hydroprocessing for complete digital twin of sustainable fuel production
Advanced Polymer Modeling Powered by Predici Predicts polymer properties, optimizes grade transitions, monitors catalyst impacts; supports cascading reactors, semi-batch reactors, detailed cooling jacket, activation volume reaction rate kinetics; includes polymer database with new components and updated physical transport/thermodynamics properties
Water Electrolyser Model User can input polarization curves for different temperatures
