CATALYST Professional 3.4 is the latest major release of PCI Geomatics’ comprehensive geospatial image processing software platform. It provides a complete environment for remote sensing, photogrammetry, and Earth observation data analysis.
🆕 Key Features and Capabilities
Advanced Remote Sensing Processing
The software supports professional processing of optical and SAR satellite imagery, including radiometric, geometric, and atmospheric correction, as well as multi-sensor fusion for standardized, analysis-ready data. It supports over 50 optical and SAR sensors, including newly added WorldView Legion (30 cm class) and previously supported WorldView-4, PeruSat-1, and SuperView-1.
Photogrammetry and DEM Extraction
CATALYST Professional enables automatic extraction of DEM, DSM, and precise orthomosaics from satellite and aerial imagery using advanced photogrammetric algorithms, including the Semi-Global Matching (SGM) method for improved precision and fewer blunders.
Automation and Python API
One of its key strengths is the ability to prototype workflows in the visual interface, then convert them into Python scripts for automated, scalable, and repeatable processing. The software provides access to over 750 algorithms through the Python API.
SAR and InSAR Processing
The platform includes tools for radar interferometry (InSAR) to monitor surface displacement, subsidence, and structural deformation. Supported sensors include Kompsat-5, Cosmo-SkyMed, and TerraSAR-X for interferogram generation and analysis.
Change Detection and Classification
Built-in tools support monitoring of land cover changes, deforestation, urban development, and climate-related changes over time. AI-based image classification uses machine learning and neural networks for object detection and land use mapping.
