KAPPA-Workstation v5.70.02: Integrated Reservoir & Well Dynamic Data Analysis Platform
KAPPA-Workstation v5.70.02 is a maintenance release of KAPPA Engineering’s Generation 5 platform for dynamic data analysis, released on 10 July 2026 . The major v5.70 release was issued on 29 April 2026 . This version is a 64-bit platform with parallel processing for multi-core processors and OpenServer connectivity for data integration across modules
Core Modules
Saphir – Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA)
Industry standard with over 3,000 active installations. Features a Bourdet derivative-based methodology, extensive analytical model library, Voronoi numerical model for complex multi-phase/geometry cases, deconvolution, and test design/QAQC .
Topaze – Rate Transient Analysis (RTA)
Over 1,400 commercial licenses. Provides single and multi-well analytical/numerical analysis for reserves and production forecasting, from simple to complex multiphase cases. Includes unconventional resource modeling and complex multiply-fractured horizontal well models .
Rubis – Numerical Modeling
Full-field numerical module with interactive 3D click-and-draw model building, automatic gridding, and full compatibility with Saphir and Topaze. Sits between single-cell material balance and massive simulation models .
Emeraude – Cased Hole Logging
Over 1,100 active licenses. Integrated platform for production logging (PL) interpretation, multifinger caliper, cement evaluation, noise logs, pulsed neutron tools, DTS thermal analysis, and DAS processing .
Azurite – Formation Testing
Merges vs-time and vs-depth data in a single application. Handles unlimited stations, automated test identification, quality rating, pressure/mobility profiles, fluid gradient/contact determination, and built-in tool modules .
Citrine – Field Performance Analysis
Handles large datasets typical of unconventional reservoirs. Workflow identifies well groups, analyzes ‘type wells’, and provides regular forecasts and reserves .
Amethyste – Wellbore Nodal Analysis
Analyzes wellbore dynamics, establishes inflow/outflow performance relationships (IPR/VLP), and performs sensitivity analysis for production optimization. VLP models can be dragged into Saphir, Topaze, and Rubis for integrated interpretation .
