ShipConstructor 2026 R4 is SSI’s latest shipbuilding software for 3D design, engineering, and construction of ships and offshore structures . Released in February 2026, it introduces sister ship synchronization, equipment as penetrators, profile penetrations, ShipbuildingPLM 3.3 integration, and AutoCAD 2026 support .

Sister Ship Synchronization (PIL Compare)

  • Project Item List Compare: Compare PILs between two projects with sortable results; transfer associations via WorkShare Transfer to apply changes consistently across related projects

Penetration Management Enhancements

  • Profiles as Penetrables: Create penetrations through stiffeners, faceplates, fabricated profiles using existing workflows; auto-add penetration details to parts

  • Equipment as Penetrators: Use doors, hatches, companionways, electrical components as penetration objects; changes auto-trigger review

  • Penetrations in Production BOMs: Include penetrations in BOM outputs for assembly and spool drawings with labeling options
