DownStream’s CAM350 is a powerful and easy-to-use solution to help engineers check Gerber. It enhances DFM inspection of pcb designs, prepares data for PCB manufacturing, and ensures an optimal manufacturing process. In addition to CAM350, there is also a good use of BluePrint-PCB, you can use Microsoft Office like the operation of the way to quickly output contains PCB manufacturing, organization, etc., the need for electronic smart documents, the smart document can also be connected to include sound, images, external files, web pages …… The smart document can also be hyperlinked to audio, video, external documents, web pages, , etc.
Shared here is the February 24, 2025 release of CAM350 v15.1 and BluePrint v7.1, a new upgrade that adds the following new features:
Enhanced integration with Siemens products: introduces a new design exchange interface that allows new CAM350 designs to be launched directly from Siemens’ Xpedition or pads Professional menus, with support for importing via ODB++ or IPC – 2581 file formats, and enabling the cross-probing interface after the import is complete.
New support for network table comparisons: Multiple unconnected networks can be entered for comparison, and unconnected networks are identified using a new network name shortcut, e.g. “Unused*”.
New File Format Compare: Design Compare feature updated to support comparing data files in ODB++ or IPC – 2581 format.
New Flex Circuit related features: Manufacturing Panel creation feature updated to support Flex Circuit milling labels; milling labels can be correlated with each other, move one member and the other members will move as well.
New Milling Path Function: Milling paths can be created around the PCB contour, and on-board notching is supported.
Error Reporting Format Updates: Improved error reporting in Error Explorer to report no error messages and include constraint values in error branch headers.
Extended Analysis Constraints
Assembly Analysis: Expanded constraint definition to allow analysis with encapsulated and placed boundary shapes, updated Assembly Constraints dialog.
Drill and Overcuts Analysis: New drill-to-plate constraints, introduction of minimum drill size and overlapping stacked overcuts check.
New options for file merging: New layer mapping options allow quick assignment of layer mappings or default all mappings to new layers.
Expanded Design Reporting: Design Analyzer reports include more design details such as number of holes per square inch (or square centimeter), minimum hole size and number, etc., with new Excel templates.
New Area Creation Mode: A new All Areas creation mode has been added to create areas when all areas are visible.
Gerber Mirror Support: Gerber format has a new Mirror Support option, which enables images to be mirrored when imported Bug Fixes: Fixed more than 70 bugs related to network table comparisons, file import and export, macro operation, interface display, etc.; and made some enhancements such as optimizing network table comparisons and improving the content of error reports.
